In 2002, recording artist and international award-winning concert pianist Gwendolyn Mok asked DF Communications to design and build a small web site to help her promote the sale of her then newly released CD 'Ravel Revealed.'

Gwendolyn also wanted to use the site to keep her fans informed of upcoming concert appearances as well as special media events like her interview with author Tad Carhart, and her guest radio spots on NPR and West Coast Live.

We created a clean, crisp, easy to read site with plenty of white space punctuated by black and red accents (representing the Feng Shui properties of career and fame, respectively). A simple representation of piano keys visually communicates what Ms. Mok so artfully does and acts as a divider between the left-hand navigation choices and the main content. To liven things up a bit and add a touch of whimsy, we added a javascript rollover to animate the keys. Finally, to make the site user-friendly to as wide an audience as possible, we also created printer-friendly versions of content pages that less technically-oriented fans could print out and save.
